SWEET AGONY
1/2 oz Double Rye
3/4 oz Wray & Nephew
3/4 oz Agony housemade syrup (recipe below)
3/4 oz pineapple juice
3/4 oz lime juice
1/2 oz Montenegro
1/4 oz Amontillado sherry
4-5 Thai basil leaves
3 Dashes Hops Tincture
Shake and strain into Colins glass with cubed ice. Top with Soda. Thai Basil sprig garnish.
Agony Syrup
8 mint leaves
8 basil leaves
1 Cup Demerara sugar
1 Cup hot water
Combine sugar and hot water to make simple syrup. Steep mint and basil for 24 hours. Strain and refrigerate for cocktails up to 1 month.
Makes enough for roughly 10 cocktails.
